Dear Brian, |
Brian! Just a
note to say how pleased and happy I am with the sound. It appeals to
me very much. Clarity, projection, warmth! Very responsive and easy
to play too! I really couldn’t be happier. |
| Hi Brian, I met with the violin teacher for my daughter today. She had heard of you from another musician and said that he highly recommended you. I can't remember his name. Anyway I gave her your card and hope you get some calls from it. Both the teacher and music store owner felt the violin had a very warm sound, and that it was well worth repairing. They were also impressed with the repairs you made and thought it was great that you put on the fully adjustable tail piece. Your attention to detail in repairing it and setting it up for my daughter was great. My mom was so pleased to see it and can't wait to hear it played again by a family member. Thanks for the wonderful work you did. You may add me to your list of references. Dwight from Connecticut |
| You
really know your business! I would recommend you to anyone. June from Plansville, Connecticut |
| It arrived
today and it is beautiful. The varnish touch up is beyond what I thought
was possible; it's amazing. Thank you so much, you not only restored my
violin but you also brought a piece of my mother back to life. If you
ever need a reference, feel free to use me. Eric from Little Rock, Arkansas |
| Thank
you for bringing the violin back into my life. Julie from Chesterfield, Virginia |
| I
am thrilled to have gotten your violin and am excited to play again, and
know it will have a good home and be cherished. Donna from Farmington, New Mexico |
| The
violin arrived today safe and sound. It turned out beautifully. Thank
you so much. I’m not sure what kind of musician you are, but you
are truly a great restorer! If you ever need a reference, please feel
free to give them my name and e-mail. Joanne from Valley Grande, Alabama |
| Thank
you so much for the beautiful restoration work you did on my violin. It
was so badly cracked and poorly repaired, that I felt it would break whenever
I touched it. Now it sounds great. I was a bit nervous about shipping
it to your shop, but all went well. I am especially grateful for the photos
with explanations that you sent as the work progressed. Thanks again,
I’ll let my fiddler friends know about your superior workmanship. Geri from San Leandro, California |
| Hi Brian! I received the violin this evening and I absolutely love it! You did an amazing job on it -- so much better than I ever imagined. It looks phenomenal. Hey, and thank you for the case, too. It was a great surprise, and very generous and thoughtful of you. I used some Murphy's Oil Soap on the case and you won't believe how good it looks. The grain came right back and it even has some luster to it. I will recommend your services to everyone I talk to, and if you ever need a reference, please feel free to give my name. Paul from New Jersey |
| Hi Brian, Thanks for the update. WOW! Pretty amazing seeing the instrument taken apart. Interesting about the cracked tail block. If that wasn't found what would have eventually happened? Just curious. And the worm holes. I hope that didn't happen on my watch. Since it was never taken apart while I owned it, if repair attempts were made, it had to be before I got it and that was a long, long time ago. As I mentioned it was not new when I got up. Could the previous repair attempts have been from the top? Maybe "Unsolved Mysteries" will do a show about it. It is nice to see the work that is being done, and I am always fascinated by the work of true craftsmen. Thanks. Allan from Connecticut |
